HOW DO I...
SEE THE DOCTOR?

All surgeries are by appointment. If you ask to see a particular doctor you may have to wait longer for an appointment.

The practice also offers telephone consultations; please contact reception and inform the receptionist that you wish to book a telephone consultation slot.

HOW DO I...
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

Telephone
01538 381072

The doctors try to keep to time, but inevitably some patients' problems take more time than others. Please try to be understanding and be prepared for a short wait. Appointments are booked for 10 minutes - one problem per consultation, please!

URGENT APPOINTMENTS
If you require an emergency on the day appointment then you need to ring the surgery as early as possible for a morning appointment with a Nurse Practitioner. The receptionist will offer you the next available appointment, should you not be able to attend then the receptionist will make you aware of other choices available.

It is extremely important that you let the practice know if you are unable to attend your appointment so that it can be offered to someone else.

Where a patient fails to attend pre-booked appointments on a number of occasions they may be removed from the practice list.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?

Telephone
01538 381022

If you are housebound or genuinely too ill to come to the surgery, PLEASE make your request before 10.30am (except of course in an emergency). Our receptionists have been instructed to obtain brief details of the reason for any visit, so that we can assess the urgency of the problem and then the doctor will contact you prior to the visit.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN TEST RESULTS?

Results of investigations performed in the surgery, ie blood tests, urine samples and X-rays from Leek Moorlands Hospital, are available by ringing the practice (after 2.00pm please).
